Cartier Tank Normale mk3

A beautiful Cartier Tank Normale  ref. 78092 from 1977, featuring the correct and highly uncommon “Swiss” only dial configuration, supplied exclusively to the New York boutique and notably rarer than the Paris-signed layout in this era.

Although the caseback is engraved “Paris,” it also bears the 18K Swiss engraving — a correct and period-original combination delivered specifically for the U.S. market in the late 1970s.

Based on collector and archival consensus, approximately 2,500 pieces of reference 78092 were produced between 1973 and 1980, making this execution one of the scarcer classic Tanks of the pre-modern Cartier period.
