Movado Ermeto – Hermès Paris Retail Edition from early 1930s With Original Hermès Leather & Box

A truly exceptional example of the Movado Ermeto, retailed by Hermès Paris and signed accordingly on the dial.

Unlike the standard Ermeto models, this piece features bespoke Hermès leather work with contrast stitching — a detail not found on regular Ermeto cases. The leather grain, color tone and hand-finished stitching clearly reflect early Hermès craftsmanship.

The case itself is crafted from solid sterling silver and bears the correct silver hallmarks, confirming both its material and period authenticity. The sliding mechanism functions smoothly and retains its original structure and proportion.

Accompanied by its original Hermès Paris presentation box, this set is extraordinarily rare. Very few Hermès-retail Ermeto examples survive with both their untouched leather coverings and their original Hermès box, making this a museum-level collectible.
